I know it seems as though I have been MIA over the past few weeks, but I can assure you a lot has been going on behind the scenes of The Goddess Diaries.
Perhaps you remember back in April when I was a special guest on Joanna DeVoe's Hippie Witch radio show where she interviewed me about the Magick of Yoni Eggs? If not, here is a link to the interview. *wink*
You see, I've had a crazy interesting year in terms of reconnecting to my intuition. I talk a little bit about this in the interview, about how I had recevied a message in a dream to start working with jade eggs. (Yes, the egg shaped crystals women have used for centuries to tone and strengthen the pelvic floor.) And even though it seemed absurd at the time, I think I've finally begun to understand the urgency behind the message. It was not so much for me...I mean, it was a message for me, yes. But this message transcends my own needs. I discovered that I need to talk about this with other women because as women, we can no longer afford to ignore the important role that our lady parts play in overall intuitive guidance.
Did you know that the clitoris has over 8,000 nerve endings (twice as many as the penis?) and that the glans an additional 7,000 AND that when a woman does reach orgasm, the sensations of the climax spread out and reach 15,000 other nerve endings found in the pelvic region?
Further, these sensations travel to the brain and result in a biochemical reaction/domino effect in the female body, flooding the system with the hormone oxytocin (the bliss hormone), which cause a woman to relax and bond with other human beings.
Why do I point this out? Well, not to say you should be having more orgasms (though, why not?) but to say that when a woman remembers what her true purpose is in this lifetime --that, by design, her purpose is to feel pleasure -- everything changes!
For whatever reason, women are not told about this growing up. Instead, we have been conditioned to believe that "feminine nature" means taking care of others. We are trained to be caretakers, nurturers, "mothers," etc...but we are never told just how important it is to be these things to ourselves first. In fact, we are told it is selfish to care for ourselves.
How did we miss this grand paradox, that by taking care of our own pleasure first, we are better equipped to care for others? Perhaps because for far too long, we've been shamed into believing female anatomy is "sinful." This blanket of shame we've covered ourselves in has led us to ignore that little voice within, urging us, begging us for some attention.
Ladies, we've been ignoring our yonis for far too long, and as a result, have made decisions that have compromised our overall satisfaction with life! This is not about sex and achieving climax or orgasm, but about reconnecting to the very essence of who we are. Suddenly, doing the mundane seems like a ridiculous waste of time.
So with that, I want to share that I have been enjoying some pleasure of my own -- really listening to what my Essence wants and honoring her needs, which has birthed a new life for me, and for you, too!
I will be sharing and writing over at The Yoni Diaries -- a place I've created for the awakening woman to reconnect to her true Essence, receive self-care tips and open up to the radical possibilities of pleasure!
I hope you will join me!
