You know what I love doing? I LOVE engaging in esoteric discourse, especially with women who love the Goddess! So recently, when a friend expressed something I have been feeling myself for awhile, I knew I had to address this publicly.
We were talking about the intersection of business and spirituality (specifically, Goddess spirituality) and whether it truly is possible for internet entrepreneurs to combine the two in a way that is both ethical and honors the Divine.
It is such a slippery slope because, honestly, who am I to judge? My blog name is The Goddess Diaries, after all, and much of my business is informed by Goddess spirituality. Here, I share information received over the years about the Goddess, so what of that? Does this cross the line?
Well, I believe that one's spirituality is very personal. Since birth, we have developed reality filters that inform our perceptions. Our experiences lend to our beliefs and what is true for me may not be true for you. Which is why I try to emphasize the Sacred Self in everything I offer here. I don't really teach about the Goddess, per se, but use my personal spiritual experiences as a way to elaborate on the self-help principles that have helped me to discover transformation and joy in this lifetime --and it is my intention that by doing so, these may help you, too. I guess all I can say is that one has to discern very carefully for herself what feels right and what feels exploitative.
Having said all of that, I do believe there is a way to teach about the goddess/ divine feminine in a way that is both authentic and classy, while also honoring the Divine Feminine and you -- and that is exactly why I love what Renee Starr is doing with her spiritual business, Back to the Goddess.
Renee is a self-proclaimed modern day Priestess of Feminine Mysteries, an artist, storyteller and life coach. Her website is beautiful and her offerings are touching. She sends out periodic newsletters that always contain juicy morsels of feminine wisdom, and I always feel renewed having read her messages.
Now, due to time constraints, this interview barely glosses over the top of what Renee offers, and I really wish we had more time to talk more deeply about her teaching style (perhaps she will agree to come back so we can do just that!) Regardless, I was super happy to hear her thoughts and experiences about ancient lunar wisdom, the Wild Woman archetype and the phenomena that is the modern woman's journey back to her ancient and sacred self!
Please, enjoy this episode and tell us what you think!
