About a week ago, a friend of mine mentioned on Facebook that she couldn't believe June was already here! I gulped hard, realizing that time does indeed seem to be speeding up, but then commented "we still have a week and a half left to enjoy May! Can we just slow down now?"
The entire month of May felt like a "hurry up and wait" kind of month--er, or a "wait and hurry up" to be more exact. For instance, because this was the first year in this house, I had no idea what was going to blossom in my garden so I was giddy with excitement to watch it all. But flowers bloom in their own timing, so...we waited.
And then....as they blossomed, I could hardly keep up with the bounty! It became a huge treat to walk out into the garden every morning to see what was going to be there! I snapped photos galore, and if you saw my Instagram account, you might have seen a few of the beauties!
It continues to be a glorious experience. The previous owner of this house was a master gardner and she seems to have planned it so there will be blossoms all season long, from the early spring shoots on into late summer and fall with the more hardy hydrangeas and day lilies.
At any rate, May has been a real lesson in slowing down to enjoy the present moment. So, here is what I did last month:
Hippie Witch Radio Show
My blogging bestie, Joanna DeVoe, invited me on her podcast to talk about finding the Goddess online. Our conversations are always a hoot, and this one evolved into a talk about the Goddess Flora, whose energies have been coming on strong these days. You can listen here:
Despacho Ceremony with the online Goddess Circle
In the private Facebook Group, we met under the Full Flower Moon for a Despacho, which is an Andean shamanic gratitude ceremony where we create a prayer bundle and we gave thanks to all the things blossoming in our lives in the present moment.
Flora Water Tutorial (kind of. Thanks RetrogradePalooza...)
This month, I also made some Flora water to use in my ritual practice for energetic space cleansing. I had hoped to have a mini tutorial completed for that to post to the blog this month, but as it happens, we were in the middle of RetrogradePalooza with five planets in retrograde for part of this month...(yes, I'm shamelessly using this as an excuse to cover my ineptness!) Anyway, the tutorial is in the works...
It's been an interesting journey with the Goddess Flora this month, and I can't help but to feel that it was somehow meant to be -- not just because it is the season of blossoming, but also because of what is coming up on the blog next month.
You see, I have been a tad reluctant to talk about sacred sensuality and how to use yoni eggs on this blog, thinking that I'd ONLY share over on my other site. But I confess, #OverThinkingItIsMySuperPower!
It occurred to me this past week that the Goddess works in such mysterious ways and that May's journey with the Goddess Flora was a primer for opening up more publicly on The Goddess Diaries and talk about my experiences with Sacred Sensuality and how it ties into the very specific Feminine Way of Manifesting.
So, there it is...that's where I'm taking it in June and I can't wait to see what unfolds! Until then, I'm going to get back in the garden and enjoy these last few days of May by taking it nice and slow! See you next month!
