I just returned from a two week vacation to Ireland that gave me just a *little* taste of what my gypsy soul truly craves -- freedom to explore and discover. The trip was entirely too short, though! I've been working very hard lately and really looked forward to relaxing. But before I knew it, time had flown by and we were boarding our plane to come back home!
So I sit here looking at my photos of the trip, reminiscing on all that we were able to cram into our 13 day excursion. This time we went into the city and just walked around all day long, taking in a few museums, the park, people-watching and even having our fortunes read by a gypsy fortune teller!
Even though we took our camera with us to Ireland, we only used our phones to capture photos this time -- mostly out of convenience of not having to carry bulky equipment, and also because the quality is so great these days.
When we went down to the cottage, my brother-in-law, John, brought his wi-fi booster so we'd have access to the internet. Thrilled about that, I thought I'd back up all my photos to my Google drive. After I sent them to the cloud, I deleted the photos from my phone to make space for more in the coming days. But when I went into Google drive, I did not see any photos and was so upset, thinking that I had lost them all!
So, imagine my delight when, upon our return home, I logged into G+ and discovered that Google Auto Backup had loaded all of my photos, not to the drive, but to the Google Photos App! In fact, every single photo I've ever taken with this phone was there!
And by the way, during this trip, we took over 500 photos, so I can't wait to share more with you in the coming weeks. In the meantime....
