Happy New Year, Goddesses!
Right now the blogosphere is aflutter with whether or not we writerly types are setting resolutions vs. intentions, if we have chosen a power word for 2016 and/or what our Core Desired Feelings are in the coming 12 months.
Personally, I've always felt the word resolutions sounds very punishing, conditional and reactionary. So instead, I prefer to lean into the much more fluid-feeling practice of envisioning the entire year ahead and then setting monthly intentions at the new moon. (Um, hello?! Manifesting with the Moon, anyone?)
But first, I have to let go of all that energetic debris collected throughout 2015 that is just creating static... I talk about this in the video below.
So, even though I did not set resolutions last year, I feel as though I did stay true to my biggest intention, which was to come back to life in 2015. After two years of grieving, I was definitely ready.
Ironically, all kinds of situations entered into the mix that would challenge this quest and 2015 became quite turbulent right out of the gate. Astrologers predicted this, what with all the hard aspects, the retrogrades, the lunar eclipses and all. As above, so below. Many surprises knocked me off my stride in health, life and in business.
But then, when I sat down today to do the end of year review, I realized that for all the struggles, 2015 was still a year to celebrate. I remembered with a grateful heart the following achievements of 2015:
It was good to honor the past, let go of what has and has not served and begin the move forward with grace toward 2016.
